These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the website and services provided by Global Knight Verifications LLC (“Global Knight Verifications,” “GKV,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing our website, requesting services, or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Additional written agreements may apply to clients and will control if they conflict with these Terms.
1. Services Provided
Global Knight Verifications provides background screening, identity and credential verification, drug-testing coordination, occupational-health services, motor vehicle record services, continuous monitoring, and managed DOT compliance services. Services are provided only for lawful purposes and may be subject to separate agreements, authorizations, disclosures, certifications, or program requirements.
2. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Establishing and certifying a lawful permissible purpose before requesting any consumer report or regulated service
- Providing all legally required disclosures and obtaining valid written authorization from the individual before requesting a background check
- Complying with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, applicable state and local laws, DOT regulations, and any other requirements applicable to the client’s use of the services
- Using reports and information only for the certified purpose and maintaining their confidentiality and security
- Following all required pre-adverse and adverse-action procedures when making decisions based in whole or in part on a consumer report
- Providing accurate information and promptly notifying us of suspected errors, unauthorized access, or misuse
3. Use of Information and Services
Information obtained through our services may be used only for the lawful purpose for which it was requested. Users may not resell reports, disclose information to unauthorized persons, attempt to obtain information under false pretenses, interfere with our systems, or use our services in violation of applicable law.
4. Compliance with Laws
Each user and client is responsible for determining and satisfying the laws and regulations applicable to its decisions, workforce, industry, and location. Our services support compliance activities but do not constitute legal advice and do not replace advice from qualified legal counsel.
5. Fees and Payment
Clients agree to pay the fees, third-party charges, court fees, pass-through costs, taxes, and other amounts described in the applicable service agreement, order confirmation, pricing schedule, or invoice. Payment terms and any cancellation or minimum-commitment requirements are governed by the applicable agreement or invoice.
6. Third-Party Sources and Accuracy
We obtain certain information from courts, government agencies, employers, educational institutions, laboratories, data providers, and other third-party sources. Although we use reasonable procedures designed to promote accuracy, we do not control the completeness, availability, or timeliness of third-party records. Consumers have rights to request a file disclosure and dispute information under applicable law.
7. Website and Account Security
Users are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and restricting access to accounts and confidential information. You must notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. You may not attempt to bypass security controls, introduce malicious code, scrape restricted information, or disrupt our website, portals, or services.
8. Intellectual Property
Our website content, branding, service descriptions, software interfaces, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Global Knight Verifications and may not be copied, modified, distributed, or used commercially without permission, except as permitted by law or an applicable written agreement.
9. Suspension and Termination
We may refuse, suspend, restrict, or terminate access to services when reasonably necessary to address suspected unlawful activity, misuse, security risks, nonpayment, inaccurate certifications, violations of these Terms, or legal and regulatory obligations. Contractual termination rights in a separate client agreement remain controlling.
10. SMS Messaging Terms
By providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively consenting to receive text messages from Global Knight Verifications, you agree to receive transactional and conversational SMS messages related to background-screening invitations, completion reminders, requests for missing information, drug-testing instructions, document requests, appointments, account notifications, and customer support.

- Charges: Message and data rates may apply.
- Opt out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving text messages. You may also use other opt-out keywords recognized by the messaging platform.

- Consent: Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing services.
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is not guaranteed. After opting out, you may receive a final message confirming your opt-out. 11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
Services are provided subject to applicable law and the terms of any separate written agreement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Global Knight Verifications disclaims implied warranties and will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where additional notice or consent is required by law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
